New Starters Reception Information
We hope that Offord Primary School is your first choice, and would love to welcome your child in to our reception class in September 2022.
Choosing a school for your child is an important decision and it is important that you feel you have all the information to do that. We would strongly encourage you visit schools so you can see for yourself what goes on, feel the school, meet the staff and ask any questions you have.
We would love to meet you and show you round our small, friendly village school. Please get in touch via email or telephone and we can make arrangements for this to happen. We hold tours n the Autumn term for the children that will be starting the following September. Dates will be published in September. In the meantime, please have a look at the resources below that were made for the parents, carers and children a couple of years ago, it will give you a flavour of life in our reception class.

You have been sent information regarding everything you need to know about your child starting school. This includes information about the 'Stay and Play' afternoon on Wednesday 6th July. Home visits will take place 5th-7th September and the first day of school will be 8th September.

There is also introduces the key staff and has lots of photos of the school to help get both parents and children prepared for September. Click on the piciture below to access the presentation.
The poster below was created by the EYFS Leads across the schools in The Cam Academy Trust, detailing skills we hope children will be developing on their entry to school. This may provide you with ideas of things you can do over the next few weeks to support your child in preparation for starting school.

Although all Reception and KS1 children at our school receive free lunches, we urge you to apply for Pupil Premium if you are entitled to it as this will mean your child receives meals when they move into KS2, as well as providing extra funding for the school.
